After School Practice, Week of September 1-5

Yes, violists, we are having our first official practice this Friday, after school from around 3 pm to 4 pm. Everyone is invited, well to be frank, encouraged to join as we'll be practicing Walzer and Hungarian Dance no. 6.

The plan is to work on Section D of Walzer (which, by the way, sadly, still sucks since we can't seem to synchronize with the orchestra from what I've heard...and not to worry, I'm having the same problem too) and other troublesome spots like measures 164 onwards and so on. As for Hungarian 6, we'll be practicing the triple notes and make sure we're all in tune, then just enjoy the syncopated notes.

If you guys have any other measures you'd like to work on, just say the word and we'll do it.

Let's do our best for the concert this December and kick some ass.

-Rina

P.S. I like our new piece a lot...the mass pizzicato effect is really something, huh? Although it sounds a little creepy.

Rina!!! You did it! I'm still so happy I could cry!
*sob sob sob*

Anyways...
Yay. Viola Power.

Whee! Looking forward to Friday to hear our triple notes. The squiggly passage of the waltz is still painful. Ibero could pay a little more attention.

Viola Power Forever.

Yes, the mass pizzicato is creepy, I thought exactly that!

Where's it going to be, by the way?

Hmm...is the practice room too much of a stretch? We could probably fit five people in there. If you guys have any alternative places, share them. Thanks!

The practice rooms perhaps? Maybe we could play it in the canteen and show our great abilities as violists. Haha, I'm just joking. Yeah, I think the practice rooms would suffice.

Dang it Rina! You posted too early!

But they're tiny! I had problems with three people because our instruments kept banging together!

Yeah. Anna's right. We should go use Ms. A's room (former Ms. Heyres's room). It's more spacious and there is a less chance of banging to each other. That should work. IF there is no one using. Then there is always the canteen, right?

Oh, give up on the canteen already, Jeff. You will never see me play in the canteen, EVER. Miss A's room might be in use, but we can use the band room next to that, right? I've never seen anyone in it.
